Why choose us?

We offer a gentle, person-centered range of therapies to bring comfort and promote growth during times that are often full of fear, uncertainty and distress. We feel our kind, non-judgmental, all-inclusive approach is perfect for working with children, the elderly, those who are disabled, or in emotional distress.

We accept each person for the unique, incredible individual they are, and we can't wait to learn about you and from you. No two journeys are the same, but we can empathize with many of the daily struggles.

We aim to make the counselling journey a fun, gentle, caring and compassionate experience. Stardust Counselling specialises in creative therapies, including the use, and teaching, of magic tricks. Everyone has magic in them, and we love to bring that out for everyone to see. You are never too old to learn new tricks!

As integrative counsellors we train in a variety of theories, modalities and skills to find the right fit for each individual.

These areas include:

*Person-Centered Therapies

*Hocus Focus TM Magic Therapies to build self-esteem, focus and attention, and social skills for kids and young adults on the autism spectrum, with social anxiety, with disability, or who just need a boost

*Creative Therapies to help younger members through times of anxiety, recovering from trauma, and loss/bereavement

*Support for individuals with disability, carers, family, siblings and other family members

What counselling isn't:

It is not a magic cure. We can't wave a wand and instantly make everything 'OK'. Counselling can be confronting and difficult some days. It does take work on both sides, and there is no guarantee as to how long the process will take. Counselling takes time. Some of the things we do may seem unexpected, but everything we do, and when, is for a reason. We are here to support you on your journey.

The thought of seeking counselling can be a daunting idea. Asking for help can be difficult. Sometimes, just making that first inquiry can lead to amazing things. We are here to listen, not to tell you what to do. This is your journey, and we would feel privileged to join you for part of it.

Is it time to start a new chapter to your story?
